It's monday.... I never thought I would be so happy to see a monday.
This weekend kicked my ass. Friday night I went downtown and played touch football with some of my buddies and some other guys and a couple girls. Got caked in mud and had a blast! But, was worn out Saturday morning.
Saturday, got up early and met my mom. We left for Cincinnati to clean up my Grandma's house. She's getting too old to live in that big house by herself. She's moving down here to Loserville this summer so we began the arduous process of getting her house in order.
My two uncles and their wives, and my mom and I went from attic to the 2nd floor, to the basement and cleaned out, oh about 4 generations worth of crap and about 70 years of dust and gunk. Then we tackled the garage. And midway through the day, my grandma (who we were making sure wasn't helping and was staying out of the way) got into the way, and somehow made her way out the side door where she tripped on the uneven steps and took a fall.
She sprained her shoulder and banged the rest of her up pretty well. My aunt (who luckily is a nurse) took her to the hospital where they doped her up and put her arm in a sling....sigh.... The sooner we get her out of the house, the safer she will be... She's the only grandparent I have left.
We got back to Louisville late Saturday evening. Sunday morning, had to get up early and meet a friend for a day trip we were taking to Indy. I was exhausted but promised her I'd go with her. I had fun, but all I could think about was how warm and relaxing my bed was. I missed my bed
Got home at 7 on Sunday and crashed like you wouldn't believe. I still feel like I could sleep for another day or two. Sigh....there's always next weekend....which will be about as busy as this one.....sigh.... No rest for the weary
