How long have you been a fan of pit bull doggies? Did you have one as a pet as a child or did you first keep one as an adult?
Pit Bulls were banned in the UK in the early 1990s so I don't have any first-hand experience of their personality.
My parents currently have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier (in fact, Staffies nearly got banned at the same time as Pit Bulls). She's a very intelligent dog and consequently she tends to get bored easily and this leads her to find new and exciting escape routes out of their back garden and into the neighbours' gardens (my parents also have to be very careful about letting her off the lead during walkies as she gets so engrossed with exploring that she can be a bit reluctant to come back when called - she is now attending obedience classes, heh, heh). She's also a massive attention seeker and gets carried away easily. I don't see that much of her (I don't live with my parent) but I will be looking after her in a few months. She's a second-hand dog as she was given to my parents by some friends who had recently had a child and who found it hard to cope with both a young child and a dog. My parents have had 4 previous dogs all of which were second hand (three Labradors and a mixed breed dog with mostly Jack Russell ancestry).
