Sorry I haven't been on for a while...I've been pretty busy...My life has been like this: I wake up at 330is am. Drive from St. Helens to Banks, taking backroads. From Banks to Deer Island, to pick up my carpool. From Deer Island to Longview for school. At school from 7ish to 12ish, and this past week, it's been from Longview, back to Deer Island to drop off carpool, to Banks to pick up boyfriend, and then back to St. Helens, finally, to eat and go to sleep. Today, I skip the carpool buddy, because he has an extra class on Thursdays, so I made the same route, except I went straight to Ranier from Appery (not that any of you know where that is, but basically backroads in BFE), and straight to Vernonia from Appery. Except today, I'm driving on highway 47, almost to Vernonia, but still in the windy road section, when my car starts to be a little funny. It feels like I'm hitting potholes, but I don't see any. I keep driving a little way, listening to see if I could figure out where it's coming from (while the radio is turned up, of course). After a while, I start to get a little worried about it, so I turn down the radio, and it sounds like a helicopter, womp, womp, womp, etc... I'm thinking what the hell, while still driving....about 1 1/2 to 2 miles down from where I started hearing noises, I decide to pull over. Definately a big fatty flat tire.
I pull over and put on the donut. Luckily, I was only a couple miles from Vernonia, and the Tru Value there sells tires. I got a used tire but on my wheel for 15 bucks. 10 minutes later, I'm back on my way to highway 6, to pick up Jesse near Banks, not actually in Banks. I end up driving straight to Banks anyway for some reason, taking a different way than I was supposed to. And then, coming home, I missed the turn to Timber, since we're supposed to go through Timber to get to the correct roads for going home through Vernonia. I'm just on a roll today!
That, and my carpool buddy and I have to rebuild a 3 cylinder from a chevy sprint, and everyone keeps telling us how cute our lawn mower engine is But since we found out today that we could paint the school's engine with their paint, that we're going to paint the valve cover in such a way that it's going to have the lawn mower brand Toro's logo all over it. We were going to go with John Deere, but the school doesn't have green and yellow paint. but anyway, I'm going to do laundry so I can go to sleep so I can get up in the morning.... Goodnight!
