I'm not sure I totally get the whole 'let's take a million pictures of myself' thing. Does anyone see the vanity alert? Self-love is one thing, self-indulgence is another. One has to ask themselves, 'what is the intention?' Am I taking pictures of myself to show others, or to show myself. It's like Asian tourists who take pics of themselves in front of monuments and landmarks so they can show others when they get back that yes, I was there. Isn't the emotion and memory enough? Why do I have to see what I look like to others? I guess we all have our faults. It would just be nice once in awhile to meet someone who really doesn't give a fuck about there appearance. And that doesn't mean they look like a slob, but they are just content with what is "theirs". It would be nice not to see the internet flooded with self-portraits of people in their bathroom mirrors, or the whole, hold the camera out and point it back towards myself shot. Take more pics of sunsets. Those dig deeper in the long run...
