montaigne

I went on a date tonight with a friend's brother. I haven't known her very long- she just moved to Seattle a few months ago and she works at the book store that I call my "home away from home." But in the short time that she's lived here, we've become pretty close. Her brother and I hit it off fine, however, I don't see anything happening with him long term. He has issues...well that part is irrelevant- anyway, she called me afterwards to see how it went, and I didn't tell her about my reservations because I was afraid it would either hurt her feelings or cause animosity between us. But now I have gotten myself into a horrible situation. I don't really want to go out with him again, but if I don't she will know that I was not "into" him, but didn't have the gumption to tell her.
Wow. My touch seems to turn everything to stone.
On a happier note, I wrote 6 pages today and revised my essays in preparation for my Boston trip.
