back from houston and new orleans. it was busy as all hell. i was running around like a crack head to say the least. nothing like showing up to an account covered in sweat from carrying eight garment bags. but i got to unwind some at night. whcih was good.
acme oyster house and mother's. love their food. also ate at la petit grocery. damn good.
stopped at this quirky place in lake charles, called steamboat bill's. got a crawfish pistolette. worth the stop off the beaten path.
who is mike jones?
i leave for new york on sunday. like, can i get a chance to breath? no, didn't think so. this house ain't free.
listened to the entire elliott smith catalog for a lot of the drive home. despite what some might spread, xo and figure 8 are both incredible albums.
which got me to thinking... what's up with all these people that only like "secret" bands? it's almost like the only reason they even like the band in the first place is because no one else has ever heard of them. it's their "secret". like it's almost an identity for them. or their existence. and then once a few more people have heard of the band, they start saying that the band sucks and that they only liked their first record, etc. when in all actuality, it's the same music from the same band. but somehow it's not good music anymore because their fan base has grown. lame. gay. these cats aren't in to music for the right reasons. ya heard.
be good.
