"we back up in this bitch again."
had a grand weekend in austin. the wedding friday night was at a sweet place. although it pissed like all hell. didn't really bother me. i get down no matter what. just felt for the kids getting married. but they were great sports. it was easy to tell everyone was having a blast. although, one bad moment. i did get stuck on the dance floor. thirty girls and just me. with 'dancing queen' playing. dude, they wouldn't let me jet, alright!
saturday morning we ate a mexican breakfast at las manitas. this place is one of my favorites for breakfast in austin. i threw down the migas. then went for some bloody mary's at the four season's lounge. had an old lady scowl at me. nice.
saturday afternoon we picked up a load of beer and drove out to salt lick. family style bbq. b.y.o.b. this place is second only to railhead.
next it was casino el camino. then we went to a party at buffalo billiards. ethan hawke was the host. one of the guys we were with is his cousin or something. he's a dick. ethan that is. scrawny mother fucker. one of the girls was standing next to him. she turned to say hello and he wouldn't shake her hand. so... i had to call him out. in a nice, calm, texas fashion. it's all good, people. and yes, he shook her hand.
don't try to act like you're all that. you put your pants on just like everyone else, baby. so just have a good time, pigfucker.
my current guilty pleasure... 'slow motion' by juvenile. can't shake that from my head. damn it. that evening we ate at kenichi. as if anyone was hungry. but the fish was quite nice. however, it was mostly drinking. bottles upon bottles of nigori. that's the cold unfiltered sake. love it. didn't make it to explosions in the sky. would have been impossible to move twenty people from fifth and colorado to sixth and red river. all in one piece. we ended up in some joint on fifth. it was alright. good company though.
sunday morning. more migas. at cisco's this time. good spot. damn we ate a lot. i love all the random roadside stops from austin to dallas. health camp shakes. robertson's beef jerky. west kolaches. nice.
song of the day. 'i burn' by the toadies. "fire is bright. fire is clean. never so alive. smoke is freedom. flame is mercy. i am free tonight. and i burn. i burn."
well, it's monday. time to get cracking. now... be greazy. late.

I just went to my cousin's wedding a month ago. It always makes me feel all frantic to find someone to marry, haha. The food was so good (and free which makes it even better), and that makes it all worth it in my eyes.
