Went to see The Independents last night. Man, talk about a fun show! I think it was one of the best shows I've been to in a while. Last one I had that much fun at was Flogging Molly.

My pal Hallow Terror posted on the @ntidote message board that it was her birthday, so I sent her a birthday greeting and she laughed and said "Sucka!!'
Later on in the evening, she, I and the sexy villain TB Monstrosity of Blitzkid scammed everyone on the @ntidote board into thinking we were in this massive argument. It got really heated and very ugly, and nobody really knew what to say but they were all believing it. It was too funny...a good way to end the day!

I just got back from a show at the aforementioned club. There were some pretty good bands playing, and the kids who were there were having fun and really getting into it. However, one of the main people who runs the club (and the same one I had the "guarantee" dispute with) flew off the handle about a remark that was made to her last week by some guy, and she decided to start carrying on and tried to start a huge fight in the parking lot. I can imagine what these out-of-town bands thought about us.

Man, Mister Rogers died. I'm bummed. I had such great childhood memories of complete acceptance and unconditional love...something that my adult life is wholly devoid of.

Yeah baby it looks like things are *finally* taking off here as far as a club and record/merch distribution goes. First show is this Sunday, local bands but it's a good start. There's still a lot to do but I'm feeling very positive about this. 
Back to Virginia for a couple days in two weeks, then off to New Orleans for St. Patrick's Day weekend....

Yeah, Bristol Tennessee. They actually have an okay little scene. We're working on getting ours going here...just opened a club so it's looking good.
