Oh the bitter winds are comin' in, and I'm already missin' the summer.
Stockholm's cold, but I've been told
I was born to endure this kind of weather
& it's you I find, like a ghost in my mind
I am defeated and I gladly wear the crown
I'll be your Emmylou, and I'll be your June
If you'll be my Gram and my Johnny too
You know I'm not askin' much of you,
Just sing little darlin', sing with me
So much I know, that things just don't grow
If you don't bless them with your patience
And I've been there before
I held up the door
For every stranger with a promise
But I'm holdin' back, that's the strength that I lack
Every morning keeps returnin' at my window
And it brings me to you, and I won't just pass through
But I'm not askin' for a storm
I'll be your Emmylou, and I'll be your June
If you'll be my Gram and my Johnny too
You know I'm not askin' much of you,
Just sing little darlin', sing with me
And yes, I might have lied to you
You wouldn't have benefited from knowin' the truth
I was frightened but I held fast
I need you now, at long last
I'll be your Emmylou, and I'll be your June
If you'll be my Gram and my Johnny too
You know I'm not askin' much of you,
Just sing little darlin', sing with me
So in love with this song. I saw First Aid Kit open for Lykke Li in Asheville, and this song sold me on them. I was like, "Did I write this!?"
This duet, with everyone in the place singing along too, seriously gave me chills.
Asheville was cool:

Rap Dog goes everywhere with us, and is the resident car DJ. So blame it on him when you hear us drive past blasting Juicy J.
Also saw Dead Prez recently which was both inspirational and super fun.
