I just spent a week in Miami/Key West for my dad's 60th birthday. It was pretty incredible.
Posh hotels. Amber Rose. Attempting to navigate from Miami to Key West while my dad was drinking a margarita while driving. Lots of margaritas. My hair turning mint colored from the overly chlorinated pool. My dad catching a n 88 inch sailfish. Late night bike rides past the cemetery and creepy tropical houses. Hemingway look-alike contests and "running of the bulls." Hemingway's house and 6 toed cats. Getting clowned by some cops via megaphone for being pale. Swimming in the ocean as a thunderstorm approached. A delicious birthday dinner at Blue Heaven with bottles and bottles of wine and pieces of key lime pie as big as my face and little girls singing happy birthday to my dad in Norwegian. My dad getting waaaasted. Spilling red wine all over the white couch in our rental house (It came out, luckily). Mimosas in the pool. Snorkeling. Chasing chickens through the cemetery. Dinner on a floating Thai restaurant during a thunderstorm.

And now....I am back to reality. Siiiiiiigh.
I'm about to be an aunt-type-person today, because Panda_Eyes' brother's baby is being born! Craaaazy.
I also need to thank Panda_Eyes for being ever so patient with my horrendous relatives this week. It's even hard for ME to put up with them.
I made a painting of Antietam for her boyfriend's birthday. This is it:
The picture really doesn't do it justice, but whatevs.
