Updatin' taaaahm.
I've been feeling kind of bummy for the past month or two but I think (hope!) things are on the ups now.
I wasn't too pumped to live in the South Side at first but it's actually a pretty great set up. I live with my best friend in the whole world who also is extremely cute and does it with me all the time. Our kitten is here. Our apartment is above the skate shop that his friends own so I know if I ever need someone to open a jar or reach something high up I can just go downstairs. Heheh. It's walking distance to the grocery store, about a billion and a half bars (second only to Bourbon St!), a liquor store, a super delicious pizza spot, an art store, an art faggy independent coffeeshop, cute clothing stores. It's on a major bus route. And it's cheap as fuck, especially considering the location. Basically it's everything a person could want.
I'm finally done at the Warhol. No more of this:
I'd like to do something more productive. I DO have a college degree. For the next week my fulltime job is going to be looking for a fulltime job.
My bff Gia and I are starting our own magazine. She's a super talented writer and I'm kind of a jerk of all trades, but my specialty is graphic design and illustration. It's not one of those things we're just saying we're gonna do either; we have support from one of the biggest advertising and marketing firms in the city plus a ton of other resources and great ideas. I'm so stoked on getting started with this.
I guess the only rough thing right now is money. My computer also broke recently and computers are kind of my life so I need to get a new one asap. Oh and that I didn't get to go to the Black Lips show last night. But anyway I'm gonna be selling some original paintings, art prints, and some old clothes so keep an eye out for that in the SG Sales group. I'm also aiming to have my etsy store set up soon so I can sell custom day of the dead skulls.
I think I'm gonna start growing my hair out. I love my current style but I really want a 60's bouffant style thing, kinda like Fawn's in her Songbird set:
Thank god for hair extensions. If they don't work though I think I may chop it all off Edie style. I'm on a big 60's kick these days.
Alright I'm off to go thrifting and then get ready for this:
Yay booze!
Later haters!
