By dose is stuffy. Allergies+no sleep= boogersssss. I need to be spooned right now and sleep in tomorrow and be fed CINNAMON scrambie eggs (you think it sounds weird but you have no idea) and toast in bed. Alas, none of this is going to happen.
I complain a lot about having so much going on, and it does kind of suck, but it's also a pretty good feeling actually accomplishing things.
I want to be Marie Antoinette when I grow up. My mom and I went to see that movie yesterday and about a quarter of the way through, the fire alarm went off. So we didn't get to see the rest of the movie, but we did get free movie passes. I didn't see enough of it to form a good opinion, but I think I'm going to just wait til it comes out on DVD because RUNNING WITH motherfucking SCISSORS comes out next Friday! I'll probably hate it because I love that book so much, and from the preview I saw, it seemed like they changed and Hollywood-ized a lot of it-- it seemed like they tried to make it less weird and lighten up the humor a bit. But still. I'd be remiss not to see it.
My favorite Augusten Burroughs book has to be Magical Thinking, though. The story about his crazy cleaning lady made me laugh more than probably any story, ever.
I'm currently reading this:
which is also surprisingly very funny. And very interesting. I highly recommend it. But not if youre super squeamish. I definitely want to be cremated now when I die.
Something awesome is happening on Thursday....officially. And it's called shooting a new SET! With this very talented duo. Hooray!
Also hooray because Mama Monroe and I are going to Puerto Rico for Thanksgiving vacation!!!
The SG Halloween party is fucking SATURDAY! Holy shit! I'm excited, and a little nervous because I want it to go well. If you still want to go but haven't rsvp'd we MIGHT be able to negotiate. Maybe. If I like you.
Love,
Monroe
PS. This is going to be in my apartment soon:
