So I've been laid up for the past few days. I went to the gym on Tuesday, even though I knew my back was feeling sore. During a set of squats my legs buckled and my back ended up catching about 225 lbs or so, thus effectively putting me out of commission until at least Monday. Tuesday was the worse, but I decided to go to the doctor today anyway and he took x-rays of my back. Luckily it wasn't a herniated disk like he thought and I just have to rest and take some basic anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxants, plus hydrocodone if I really need it.
Still, it's taking away a good few days work, then there's the money for the meds which makes it seem less likely that I won't be able to save enough to try and get to New York. Oh well, shit happens I guess. Besides, it's better to get back to 100% and be able to work out and get into the Air Force than to have a little trip that would likely end up with plenty of vomit and hangovers.
