pitch black knights, dirt brown windy days. dust in every possible place.......and i mean everywhere. constant threats on my life almost every other day. bright unforgiving sun no signs of life anywhere, decent food and an abundance of port-o-johns and what can i say.......i'm bored out of my mind. go figure

with all this free time, its easy to drift off and think of what to buy when i get home. should i get a new car, a new old car, a house to get out of the damn barracks. definitely a new tattoo, most likely a chest piece but i still dont know what........im looking for some ideas but nothing has stuck out

to my military friends, they will understand this. in a combat zone, no lights on your fob, u have to carry your wep everywhere but the battalion thinks its unnecessary to issue lights for your wep and its is forbidden to buy your own accessories. can someone explain the logic in that

hmmmmm 365 straight days of no beer, sex or pretty women.......i can try and handle that. 365 days of having to wear armor because my command is paranoid....ok, better safe then sorry.but 365 days of my command micro managing everything i do because they have nothing better to do. this might be hell

Joy the girl i planned to marry and the love of my life finally admitted why she broke up with me, she just didnt want to be with me anymore, i have never felt so shitty in my life.........this will be a long deployment specially not have having anyone wait at home.i need a drink.......
