So I'm back from my trip and I added some pics, so you should go and check them out. I had a great time and feel refreshed and ready to start my job again.
So I might as well tell you about my weekend. On Friday the day we left, my friend's car decided to breakdown about 50 miles out of Lousiville, and this sucked, lucky for us my mom happend to get me AAA before we left, so I gave them call and they actually got there kinda fast. Well the tow truck man gave us a lift back to Louisville, where my dad let us borrow his truck and we tried once again, leaving around 3:00 which sucked cause we needed to get to Chicago in time to register for the convention so we could do stuff that night. Well I did the best I could by hauling ass, but between the rain and road construction making it there on time didn't look good. After flying through Indiana and Illinois I found we had maybe 10 minutes to get there. I drove up down trying to find a parking spot and by the time I did we ended up missing registration by 5 minutes.
So we decided to go to the hotel and check in then, well what we didn't know was that our hotel was basically in the damn airport, so I drove around the damn thing trying to find a place to park but most place wanted us to pay $25 a day and the hotel only had valet parking for $32 a day, needless to say we found econo parking and parked far away from the airport for cheap. Well, we got into the hotel and checked and went up to our room only to find out that instead of giving the 2 beds that we reserved, we ended up only getting 1. Well we said screw it and took it and went to sleep, First day ended badly.
Saturday we got up and made it over to the convention early and got checked in and probably in the first 5 minutes that I was there I brought something. We went to a few of the workshops there and some were quite interesting, like the voice over work shop. I have to mention that I came in 3rd at the Soul Calibur II tournament, I thought for sure that my ass would have beened kicked badly but I don't know how I got as far as I did. Well time went by and I decided to go to a discussion on Hentai, or basically Anime Porn. I have to admit it was quite funny and the people who were putting it on kept me amused. That night I went to a rave that they were putting one, and for you how know me well must have knew that I was scared out of my mind. I believe that raves are pure evil and Techno just scares me, but damn the could some the cosplay girls dance.
Sunday we basically just went back to buy some things before we left, because there was nothing going on any ways. So I am back in Louisville, but I heard that there will be a convention in Covington, KY in November and I think I am going to go to that.
