i haven't mentioned this before cuz i didn't want to admit it. but my cat Honky ran away about three weeks ago. she could always tell when i was getting ready to leave on tour and so this time when i started packing up my stuff, she took off. it was about two or three days before i was to leave. i kept putting food out and kept her box clean hoping she would come back. but then i had to go myself. it was a short tour only two weeks. i kept calling my roommate to see if there were any signs or her return. the news was always negative. I've been home for about a week now and the other cats in the house started taking over of Honky's little napping spots as their own. i took this as a bad sign indicating that they knew Honky wasn't coming back. so yesterday i figured i was going to have to bite the bullet and admit she might not be coming back. i was unsure of the proper edict in this type of situation. do i make a round of phone calls informing those who cared for and where close to her over the last seven years, or do i say nothing and wait tell someone notices her missing then have to tell the story who knows how many times.
but fortunately for me she came back today. and she is filthy!
