hey all i am back......kind of. god i hate the field. for those of you who don't know of "the field", which is an army thing, it is where your unit finds the mose fucking hellatiously cold place in europe, makes you carry around a 100+ lbs ruck sack, =30 lbs 0f SAW and ammo (a maching gun with bullets, like 800 of them), and wear 30 more pounds of gear to hold it and many more useless heavy things on your freezing ass body. then they make you walk 15 km in the morning, like the real morning when the sun is still hiding. then when u get to where u are goin you think you would call it a day. nope. you fire all that ammo out of that heavy assed machine gun for another 6 hours. then you get to eat. a break you say? nope thats when you consume 1.2 pounds of prepackaged food in a bag. which has been in the same box for like 17 years just waiting for lucky you to gobble it up. no joke last week at the firing range i opened one of these MRE's, as the army calls them, and found a pack of M&M's that said "Proud Sponser of the 1984 Olympics". then when you thought god hatted you more than ever. it starts snowing. to the point where you can't see the targets you are supposed to be shooting at to re-qualify with the weapon you brought. mmmmmmmmm.........ffuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnn. then you want to go home and your sargents say "ok it is time to leave, get your gear on and change your boots, were walking back!" i swear these jerkoffs get off on walking through 3 feet of snow in -22 degree weather. back. all. 15km. you finaly get to sleep at 3am after every one calms down and the lights go off. then you get up at 0630 in the morning to do PT (physical training). and thats just the first whole day you are there. you still have 2 weeks ahead of you. it fucking rocked.
