i saw the decemberists last night at the henry fonda theatre. what a great crowd, and what a really great show. i had never seen this band before, and in fact am only just now really getting into them. their new album, picaresque, is pretty wonderful. check it out.
*waiting*
ok, good. track 9 is my favorite. you should pay attention to that one.
the show was whimsical and funny and really entertaining. it's refreshing to find a band that isn't afraid to look silly onstage...a band that has fun playing their music and wants the audience to be a part of the experience. petra haden is pretty damn cute, too, and she did a cover of "wuthering heights." that was great. my only complaint is that the floor was sticky, but i was able to get beyond that.
today i ask for something. wish me luck. send me the hip vibes. or the love vibes. whichever you choose. perhaps to you they are the same. i dunno. hey.
***update
ellis (boss) is going to think about my request this weekend. so keep on keepin on with the love.
***update again, whilst i clean my house and purge for spring cleaning.
i'm listening to the new decemberists again, and it's awesome. i'm torn between a fave song because they're all so damn good. i like so far the best
on the bus mall
the engine driver
16 military wives
we both go down together
the sporting life
the infanta
listen to this album. it's so great. and when was the last time i raved about an album like this?

"And I am a writer,
writer of fictions,
I am the heart that you call home.
And I've written pages upon pages
trying to rid you from my bones.
I am writer,
I am all that you have hoped of.
And I've written pages upon pages
trying to rid you from my bones,
my bones, my bones...."

I wish you wanna be asshole's would shut the hell up; Goth is a state of mind based on one's life, while in the body, on here on this plane of existance, thus, one's ability to survive in the or any midst of hard time's, therein lies the darkness, whether it be your friend or your enemy. It's not a god dam fashion show or outer look. Dump asses!
