Wow, I just checked out an old journal because I couldn't remember what I did for new years last year. Re-reading it I have a hard time remembering how much I liked my job before the scene shop burnt down and the ranks closed to me.

I had forgotten how damn good I was at my job. That just sucks. Well, my application is finished for the union. I've got two applications out to shows at the casinos, and another two resumes out to other places. I hope that things pick up for me after the holidays and the new year.

On to random bits. Grad school is out of the picture for next year. I'm mostly ok with that. I'm learning how to reclaim xmas as a holiday I can enjoy. I've gotten a bit better year by year, and with our fourth annual spicy xmas happening on tuesday I'm feeling even better about it. If my pics came out I'll try to post one of our awesome faux retro tree.

I just realized the other day that a friend of a friend has a table saw. I have some simple furniture designed that I'd love to have a 100 bucks to build. I learned how to knit wire and made a present for a girl. I'm so excited that she's coming to visit Jan 1. January seems to be the month of the house guests. Rosa makes it here first, then Alan, then my sister and her husband. It'll be interesting to see how we handle it.

In other news - happy xmas. I'm going to attempt to get some sleep.
