On a day like this, one predestined for thanks and recollection, it is hard if not impossible for me to reflect on the things I have learned about said day.
Everyone should read this article and then everyone should read this other article.
I do not offer up these criticisms to be daft and uncaring on this holiday, but rather to keep grounded those who would be possibly too euphoric on such an overly politically aggrandized, well lets call it what it is, farce.
Having said that - I move to my usual banter that follows - I am incredibly thankful. Hypocritic? Not so much.
I have countless things to be thankful for, one of them being my ability to have the duty (not just option to), to question any and all things involving the past, and to strive for change.
Today I am most thankful for the prospect of change from so many things currently occuring in our world.
I apologize in advance for those of you ready to read a light hearted, bouncy blog entry from me this morning - it shall return soon.
