so i've been busy little girl lately- all sorts of chaos at work and errand running/spring cleaning to do.
as far as work goes- i had this situation with one of my co-workers which inadvertently lead to some drama/firing. our only male bartender, who i thought was a decent guy, and who i would have considered a friend (up until this point) asked if he could pay me for a ride home after bar close one night, so i give him the ride, and go upstairs to use the bathroom real quick. i suppose going upstairs at all was a bad idea because as im trying to leave, he looks at me and says "i'm pretty sure we should fuck now" all nonchalant- but how forward is that? he is well aware that i have a bf who i am happy with and always have only said nice things about, so definitely barking up the wrong tree here. of course i said absolutely not, and reiterated the fact that i am very happy with my bf and i never will cheat, so he comes back with "oh common, just pretend you dont have a bf for 20mins, no one has to know, blah blah blah". at that point i was feel rather uncomfortable, so i made a hasty exit.
so i get home, and the boy is awake waiting for me. he asks why i am so late, so i tell him. of course he's a bit offended because he knows this dude, and they have always been super nice to each other, so he saw it as toe-steppin (which it definitely was). i told my bosses that i didnt want to work with this guy anymore but didnt really go into depth as far as why, so they started working out the schedule for me.
my bf dropped me off at work the next friday, comes in and has some heated words with this guy. it caused a bit of a scene, so i was worried about getting in trouble for it, but luckily that didnt happen. i ended up telling my boss the whole story, and he was really cool about it. he told me he wanted to fire this guy but he needed a real reason to. so a couple weeks go by, and i find out this coworker had pretty much tried the same bit on about every other girl i work with, and been turned down by all of us haha.
turns out that he was also apparently stealing from the bar, so he got fired from both of the bars i work at. wow. the same week we had a girl no call no show (who i actually liked, so thats kinda sad), so now we are down 2 employees and the schedule is topsy turvy from what it was. but on the bright side, i kind of like my schedule now better, being that i actually have 2 consecutive days off in a row now, and the hours i am working are a bit more lucrative.
as far as home- we recently got a new temporary roommate, that is working out very well. he is from oklahoma, doing an internship at a recording studio for a few months. and already he has been a huge help, and no inconvinience at all. yay for that!
i am buying a tv this week- any suggestions for good deals/quality?
