Controversy!
My coaches were pissed!
The fight was pretty even. When the scores were read, it was given to me as the win. But a minute later, one of the judges said he/she had misread the score and it went to my opponent. So it was a very short lived victory. But yeah, my coaches were pissed. I was a little pissed. The reversal got a LOT of boos. It happens, though, and I didn't bat an eyelash. So whatevers.
The fight itself - she came out strong. She knew she had 3 inches of height on me. She also had longer arms. She threw a lot of kicks. I didn't throw as many kicks. I should have used more front kicks. But we kept on ending up in the clinch where I completely dominated. I moved her around, kept my arm down so she couldn't knee me in the ribs....I put a hand on her hip and pushed her out and got in a few really good fucking solid knees that elicited *oofs* of pain. I definitely took my time on taking clean shots. I mean...why wear myself out throwing ineffectual things.
She didn't really hurt me either. Although I think my right knee is a little fucked from the fight - it might have just been a random kick that caught my knee but my leg is swollen and it hurts when I bend my leg. My foot is also swollen and numb. Ooops...I hope it's nothing serious. I'll have to talk to my trainer.
Anyway, back to the fight. I felt like what I threw out there was not as much in terms of quantity but definitely good quality solid shots. I fucking rocked her with some solid crosses and drew a little blood. She was definitely dazed when I landed 2 rights in a row.
I felt soooo much better than my first fight where I was a little retarded. Of course, there's a ton of shit to work on before the next fight but I think I will only get better. I'm always a little thrown off by the sudden frenzy - you calm yourself down and you go through touch gloves stuff, and BANG, you're getting punched. It's fucking crazy.
I'm definitely disappointed with the call the judges made. It's so subjective anyway. One of our pro fighters has had some bad calls in her last 2 fights. The last one especially - the judges were all boxing judges.
Feh.
Other than that - I feel okay. I don't know if it'll really hit me tomorrow - the soreness. I wasn't in nearly as good shape for the first fight as I was for this fight.
Oh, Zach Braff was at the fight. That was awesome. I considered going over to take a photo with him but I didn't.
I wonder if I got any stud points - but it's not like I picked up any girls. I think they were intimidated by my fugly cornrows (which I removed RIGHT AWAY), and the tattoos. The guys were so cool - they had fun watching my fight and bought me beer and all that stuff. It was nice. Some random guys took photos with me, the Singha beer dudes took photos with me.
Ooh, and I don't know if the doctor was hitting on me or if she was just friendly. Give me a break for being a little retarded after 3 rounds of getting hit. But she kept on saying - you're so cute. In reference to how "innocent" I look with my cute little chinky face, and then the contrast with the tattoos and the fighting and then she asked me what I did outside of this and she was impressed with the PharmD. degree and all. She was cute too. It was really funny how she asked me if I wanted a cookie and then said, wait, you can't have cookies can you? To which I said, well, I had my fight so yeah, I can eat a cookie. One of the male pro fighters was hitting on her too....so funny. Maybe I should have stuck around and asked her out.....but I was in no condition to hook up with anyone last night. I crashed really hard and could even barely eat my dinner......crazy. It was a fun night, though. These events are always awesome and the crowd was cool.

How swollen are they? more than normal for a fight? Your probably already familiar with this, but you know about rolling/pressing out bruises to speed healing and reduce swelling right?
Cookies!
And lately (ie: the last year or so) for some reason I haven't had the nerve to ask out any of the really cute people I randomly meet, either. But a personal Doctor to help tend the sore spots would have been nice. *winks*
