fuckaroo....I got kicked in the ribs (same/similar spot) a bunch of times yesterday. I took my first competitors class and had to work with the women who fight - N, E, and R. E basically nicely beat the shit out of me with such ease it was ridiculous. If it makes me feel any better so I don't go home and cry about how much I suck, it's that she just turned pro and she has a six pack . N and R were better although they still kicked me around. I don't think I could do clinch with R because I think she's hot and I'd rather just make out with her and grope her than actually clinch, but that's just me.
Anyway - I took the boot camp class today so I could maximize my workout into an hour.
R made us:
Jog on the treadmill - a few minutes at 6.5 mph.
Then increase up to 7.5 for 2 minutes
Down to 7.0 for 1 minute
Up to 8.5 for 2 minutes
Down to 8.0 for 1 minute
Then up to 9.0 for a little bit.
The entire time was 15 minutes and 1.7 miles. I'm glad I wasn't more aggressive with my choice of jogging speed.
Then we did the stairs. 3 sets of 1 minute - single steps up the stairs. Rest for 1 minute in between. There are 2 sets of stairs and there were 3 of us so one of us would get to hold a squat position for the 1 minute the other people were running stairs. The next cycle was 3 sets of 1 minute going up 2 steps at a time. Ouch. I was tired from that one.
After that was simply cycling through 15 judo pushups, holding inverted position, going into cobra position with thighs off the ground x 5 or so, then stomach stuff, then running in place, then all over again. Then we had calisthenics at the end.
Let's just say my thighs hurts and feel a bit like jelly. My ribs also hurt but that's not going to get better at this rate for a while.
Other than that - must work on a presentation!

Hope you feel better! I know with the ribs it's ging to be a while! I remember the first time I got kicked in the ribs while sparring. Then I learned to block. I don't ever want that to happen to me again. I'd rather have a sore arm than have sore ribs!
I came across ur profile and thought you looked REALLY kick ass!!!
Hope all Goes well with your studies and I hope to hear from you sometime luv!!
