It's already Tuesday!
My weekend flew by. I, of course, also had to work. I work in a hospital pharmacy and I have been getting the 9-5 weekend shift which entails making total parenteral nutrition. Lately the numbers have been up there in the 30s. The last time I worked the TPN shift, I had 35 and 33 to make and I left 30 minutes and an hour late those 2 times. So when I saw I had 32 and I had to work with a pharmacist not known for his speed...I was afraid I would leave at 6 again. Somehow I managed to squeeze out 32 TPNs in about 3 hours and punched out exactly at 5.
Other than that, I didn't work out over the weekend. I was tired, cranky, and not around during gym hours.
But yesterday I spent 60 minutes on the elliptical, ran 2.25 miles, and took a 1 hour Muay Thai class that involved rotating through 5 stations in what felt like 4 or 5 minutes rounds. I started out strong with R., the hot fighter at the gym (I sooooo have a crush on her still but it's not as bad as it was). It was everything - punches, elbows, knees, front kicks, roundhouses. It took me until the 5th station to really get my roundhouse kicks going...I think sometimes you get too tense and focus too much on throwing a solid kick that it doesn't come out decently. It's only when you relax that it comes out strong. Plus I was tired by the 5th station. The guy at the 4th station killed me - he really pushed me to throw my punches fast and land my long knee quickly - he would have me throw a jab cross then knee, or jab and knee, or jap cross hook, or jab cross hook uppercut all finishing with a knee. I haven't thrown my punches that fast in a while....it was sort of fun.
I'm also looking for a black kimono maybe - one without any patterns. I found something sort of like what I'm looking for....except for 2 insignia in white. I guess I could just dye them black.
The hospital site is boring. I wore heels yesterday and my feet were killing me by the end of the day.
Gotta get going for the day.

I bought one of those bob things. It's a person punching bag. You can do everything on it. Every kick, knee, elbow etc. Say if you're at home and you already did your muay thai class but you need to do a bit more these things kick ass! You can pick one up at sports authority or any big sports store.
Hope shit works out with your crush!
