Just had the most amazing day in China!
A friend of mine works in a small town called Yuxi as an english teacher, and she invited me to visit her for a few days. She's a photographer as well, so we had the whole day running round with cameras, inviting ourselves into people's homes and getting some great shots.
It's so good having someone with you who can speak the language, even if not totally fluently. She got us into this family's house, where the daughter was sitting doing her homework with her puppy on her knee. It's my favourite shot of the trip, by far!

I'm leaving for a three day cruise on the Yangtze river tomorrow. Wish I hadn't lost my gloves in the back of a taxi. It's getting pretty friggin baltic out here!
