Got a problem that can't be solved? Have you recently picked up the Hellraiser puzzle and can't find the first switch?

Agony Ant is open for business. It's an informal and probably infrequent blog where I will take your tough problems, feed them through the fine mesh of my brain, and give you an equally tough answer in return. This is hardcore advice and not

Dear @pipercadence thanks for your questions. Australia has a three tier system of government comprised of Federal, State and Local governments. Our Parliaments are bicameral - meaning that they have two Houses just like your Congress. In short, how do they work? Not very well.

To answer your other question from Mojo's Mailbag, you have seven other fingers besides the one that you injured...plus two thumbs. If you ordinarily use your index finger for example, I suggest switching to your middle finger. Or you can  visit your local supermarket and see if bananas are in season.

I'm not a religious person. There's too many competing beliefs that all really say much the same thing. Do this and do this, but don't do that. Do some of this...and plenty of that...and if you do this you will be tortured for all eternity.

"Now come in to this drafty old building and sit on this unbelievably hard chair. Then I'm going to...

@fearthestars What's always soured me instantly on it in the past was all the corruption and abuse of power of the highest levels of Vatican administration. Got tired of hearing about their scandals being "exposed" on the news, then quickly swept under a priceless rug with no one ever really being reprimanded after the media circus dies down. None of that political shit has anything to do with the fundamentals of Catholicism or the practice of the faith, yet it often succeeds in making the church look bad.   I LOVE THIS NEW POPE THOUGH! He is so cool and way more open minded than i ever thought any Pope would/could be. I think he's cleaned up the image of the church quite a bit already, i think he seems like a genuinely good-natured dude :)
fearthestars:
@colchicine Yeah, a lot of people seem to get caught up in the scandal and political stuff, which is understandable because it's heinous.  But 99.9% of people in the Church have no connection to it.  It gets frustrating.  But Papa Francis is just the kind of guy to take the Church where it needs to go.  He's amazing.

@missy @rambo @lyxzen

An honest to goodness experience with the paranormal ? I would have to say no. But now and again you go places that make you wonder because they feel thinner than the rest of the world.

You see things in these places that defy explanation and make the hairs on your arms stand up. Your natural desire to flee will kick in...

Personally I think it looks a lot like the Overlook Hotel from the outside.

I was actually staying at a friends place quite close to there a couple of years ago, and it didn't click until after I'd left. So devastated! I'd love to do a tour!!

@pipercadence It's like what happens to bouncers when they watch Road House.

15 men, each as bland as the blandest of white bread, spend eight weeks in a sharehouse chasing one woman. It's like Lord of the Flies, except swap out sharp sticks for penises and Piggy for a fertile woman.

Each season kicks off with an awkward meet and greet outside of Thunderdome...I mean The House. A typical conversation at this point goes like this:

Bachelorette...

"What the fuck is THAT?"

So yeah, time to blog all up in this bitch just like the youngsters do. No real subject today but mostly waffle. Like the Franklin Expedition, today's journey is just going to go round and round.

So I will tell you about me. Not actual, important facts mind you. Just the stuff that colours in the white spaces.

Let's...

I'm no fan of lists. Name your top ten this or your top five that. In the spirit of doing the exact thing that you hate ( what we in the industry call hypocrisy ) here's a list of my favourite comedians sans numbering.

Bill Burr ( "Eating a donut is the easiest way to tell the world you don't give a fuck." )

@fearthestars done!

Everyone on this list is brilliant. But if I add a few, George Carlin and Whoopi Goldberg's 'Fontaine' for the brutal honesty. Chris Porter is a recent discovery that had me rolling. If you have Netflix, his special is on there. Honorable mention also goes to Ron White. Tater tot ya'll..

“Now the two of them rode silently toward town, both lost in their own thoughts. Their way took them past the Delgado house. Roland looked up and saw Susan sitting in her window, a bright vision in the gray light of that fall morning. His heart leaped up and although he didn't know it then, it was how he would remember her most clearly forever...
