My internet flaked on me all last week. Such things are made more difficult when your network administrator is the ex boyfriend you live with with whom you are not speaking.
I've been extremely tired. Long days at work. Trying to find an apartment. Doctor's appointments. Feeling a bit out of it all the time. Forgetting things and becoming frustrated at myself about it. Running late.
My hope is to be more rested up for this weekend than I was for the last one. I did see Peaches and go to a great "alternative" house party in jamaica plain last weekend. It sort of strikes you as a hippie house at first, with an antique stove, massive bowls of hummus, pets, and random beds tucked into each corner for the transient population...but then there are the turntables and the resident DJ's and VJ's. And the backyard, which boasts a chandelier strung between bamboo, a treehouse, a steam bath, and a dome filled with grape vines and a red glowing stripper cage. Oh, and a giant replica of a plane.
90% of the people there were headed to Burning Man. I was definitely the odd one out in that respect. We did conjure the idea of "frozen man" for those who need something to break up the remaining 358 days of the year outside of Burning Man.
