Your floor, is my ceiling. Lights out, you cant come in.
Got the first pictures from the new series scanned and up-loaded this weekend. Ive still got more stuff in processing. And Im crossing my fingers that I can get access to more of the buildings at this site, in a couple of weeks.
Rockstar status:
So I drove out to SF Saturday night. I was planning on catching Lucero at the Bottom of the Hill. As I get there and start walking to the door, I overhear someone on their cell phone mention its sold out. As I get inside, another guy is offering the bouncer $40 to let him in. It was indeed completely sold out. Hmmm I just drove an hour and a half, I dont have anyone to call, and I dont really know what else I want to do
I did a music video for a hip hop artist there a couple of years ago. Not really my cup of tea, but it came out well, and the record producer has been sweating me for the next project. The producer also runs this restaurant/nightclub that was fairly close to where I was sitting clueless in my car. Ive been there a couple of times, but I was definitely not up to dress code standard that night. I said screw it, and figured I could at least say hello, and use their bathroom before driving back home.
I get to the restaurant, and walk inside. The hip hop artist is running the bar with a couple of other people when I walk over. He immediately starts handing me drinks, and then asks if Id talked to the producer yet. I said no, because I was just stopping by. The producer finally gets there. As soon as he sits down, he starts running of a list of food to the staff. Bring this guy anything he asks for. We talked for a bit, and he told me to stay for the party once the club opens up. At one point I walked outside, and there were at least 100 to 200 people waiting in line to get in. Everybody looked like trendy fashion clones. I laughed and walked right past the line back into the club. Nothing but a faded t-shirt, and jeans. I stayed long enough to get some good food and sample some wines, and then called it a night. I kept hoping the DJ would play something Id recognize, but I figured it wasnt very likely. I was definitely out of my element

Next time I'm in Fresno, do you think you could take me on a trailer park tour? Or maybe a meth lab tour...
