I was standing in a graveyard, under silver studded skies. In a forest burning ashes, on the bonfires of our lives. As the sky fell down, I was Lost and Found..
Tetanus:
I shot more pictures this weekend then I think I have in the last 3 months. I was absolutely inundated with creepy rusted delight at an old train yard. Hopefully I start getting some of the stuff back from the lab this week. New photo series is definitely in the works.
A question of etiquette:
So if you invited a particular person on a one day road trip, would you be upset if they later declined, and in turn, offered their invite to a bunch of other people without your knowledge? And those people proceed to invite more people.
This is a little hard to explain without listing a ton of past examples, but Ill keep to this weekends incident. This might be one of the biggest reasons why I dislike most people I associate with in my business side of life, because this type of behavior is typical form.
I decided to go visit two friends that live and hour south of me this weekend. I just wanted to relax, and ride my bike at some of the skate parks they live by without any worries about schedules, or whatever. I asked my business partner Wednesday night if he wanted to go along since I had room for one other person in my car. He said it sounded like fun, and I told my friends down south that we were coming. Saturday night I call my partner to confirm when I was leaving. I get a voicemail later that night telling me that he isnt going to be able to make it, but that he told a bunch of other people that I was going down there for a big road trip, and that they all wanted to come along too.
I was absolutely pissed. Im pretty selective about the people I associate with. As much as I love riding my bike, I will have to admit that most of the people I meet through riding dont come close to being individuals whose company I enjoy. What started out as a simple relaxing trip between just a few close friends, instantly turned into a weekend party caravan. I ended up sitting in the heat for 3 hours at the first park waiting for the crew to arrive. Once they get there I realize that they were late because they decided to stop and ride some other places on the way down Umm Fuck you! Ive been waiting for your asses. They also seemed to think it would be ok to pick up a few other random people that I havent met and bring them along too. Lucky for me they extra anchors were shitheads too. I didnt have to worry about differentiating my hate towards the assholes I already know, versus the assholes I dont. That pretty my clinched my bitterness for the rest of the day. My friend that lived there was about as salted as me when they realized how the rest of the day was going to go. I survived the day fairly well without unleashing any verbal abuse upon the group. But by the end of the day I felt like I had been working, instead of enjoying myself.
It is things like this, that make me happy about leaving Sacramento soon, and all of the people I know behind.
Why does spell check find Fuck ok. But it wants to replace shitheads with skinheads.

As for the big road trip, you really have every right to be upset.
