Take me out tonight
Where theres music and theres people
And theyre young and alive
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I havent got one
Anymore
Take me out tonight
Food Coma:
This might have been the first weekend in quite a long time where I didnt have a million things planned.and I loved every lazy minute of it.
Spent Saturday morning with the lovely Ramona gorging ourselves on Dim Sum. And I think Ive now found my new food addiction. Could there be anything better then this? Went and saw Brokeback Mountain.. excellent movie, and Im trying to talk my mom into tricking her homophobic boyfriend to see it.
Despite a slightly disappointing sushi experience Saturday night, we made up for it by once again gorging ourselves in good sushi Sunday. Immediately followed by a caramel sundae, and Grosse Point Blank.
Confectionary Fraud:
Brachs doesnt know whats up. Excited to see valentines candy last night, I picked up three boxes of little conversation heart candies. As soon as I was in the car I popped them open and tossed one in my mouth. Biting into it was slightly akin to hitting a fire hydrant with a 2x4. What the fuck! Necco brand conversation hearts are way better, not too hard, not too soft, and they totally taste better too. It doesnt change the fact that all three boxes disappeared quickly with a little help, but screw Brachs for making poor quality imposter candies.
Camera Geek:
Ive seen and heard all the arguments for and against using digital means for image capture. Both in the photography, and cinematography world. And for the sake of argument, and boredom I will leave those things out of my journal, but the other day someone said something that I thought was extremely interesting while they were perusing my portfolio. Your pictures look old It took me a minute to figure out what she meant. But once I realized what she was talking about it confirmed an outcome that many artists have hypothesized. As lower quality digital origination becomes more mainstream, the casual observer will start to accept the look of the material, and associate it with a modern look. As this proliferates the higher quality analog images will be viewed as outdated. While none of this matters in a strictly artistic sense, this eventually changes the commercial reality of mass image capture. While at first a little stunned by the comment, I quickly realized that she meant it in a good way, if not a little misguided. She then proceeded to ask if I would sell her some printsconvenience has no place in art.

I accidently threw one of my cookie monster feet in the wash, and now it is distinctly less cookie monster like. I shed a thousand emo tears!
