Sorry Mo, I misunderstood the Q, the hero cop drew on a robber who came into the bank shooting. The cop, MOVED out of a covered spot to avoid hitting innocents BEHIND the robber.
At which point, he was shot by the robber, while going down from being shot, cop gets off about 5-6 rounds, HITTING the robber, who runs out of the bank, AND gets driven away. Cop
dies, in about an hour. Robber gets driven to D.C. [!], gets treatment at hospital, but interviewed at hospital, since it's a GSW,D.C. cop, is suspicious, robber gets hinky, partly treated,
bolts hospital-comes BACK to Columbus, and gets arrested,
after having a domestic w/GF, who HAD driven him to D.C. & back-talk about gratitude. Robber now in jail, Feds are going to try him for multiple bank jobs, and using gun in robbery resulting in death of a PO=death penalty eligible.whew.
