I'm now considering three destinations. Montreal, as previously mentioned, Seattle, and Austin (thanks to a little coaxing.
) I've begun the selling of personal posessions, and things are going well so far. I quit smoking tonight, so by morning I may be dead, but I can't go blowing the cash I'm trying to save on something futile. Tomorrow I'm moving everything I have at the apartment up to my folks house, and I'm not even going to bother setting up. I haven't broken the news to them yet. I actually do love my parents, but they aren't going to be able to influence my decision.
The earliest I'll be leaving is Tuesday, and the more I think about it, the more eager I become. I'm going to be out of touch for a while after I start my journey, but hopefully once I get to where I'm going I'll at least be able to use a comp occasionally to say hi to everyone untill my subscription runs out.
My thanks to everyone for being so supportive during this second midlife crisis I'm going through. (One at 20, one at 24, isn't this only supposed to happen once?) You're all wonderful people, and I really appreciate your thoughts. I'll have at least one or two more updates before I leave, so I'll keep you all informed as to what's going on.
