hello darlings....

spring is coming, spring is coming...and it feels soooo good!!!

this damn cold virus is really holding on...I tried bribery again with oreos, beer, and some nice fresh produce...I'll let you all know what happens.

I've had a wonderful two days off from work...I've been lucky enough to go to the bookstore twice. This may sound funny, but the closest "new book" bookstore is at least half an hour away. heresy2006 was such a sweetheart and took me shopping on sunday (which entails going to the bookstore and out for a nice meal...not a bad deal ). However, I managed to purchase the worst field guide I've ever laid eyes upon. A little background--living in an unknown environment has been incredibly disconcerting to me. In that I mean that it really bothers me when I can't name at least 75% of the plant and animal species around me. With that said, I felt that it was necessary to educate myself...hence the field guide. I couldn't decide upon which books I wanted the most and ended up buying the paterson all-in-one field guide to eastern forests...........IT SUCKED!!!!!
So I had the excuse to go back to the bookstore to return the inferior guide for the beginning of my collection of audobon field guides. YAY!!!!

and then.....

I bought myself a new skirt, and some incredibly soft knee high socks.

I hope everyone has been able to bask in a little sunshine....the seasons are changing....I promise you.
