joenobody tagged me in a leap at revenge directed at heresy. hmmm...perhaps I should end this bloody battle...and...then again maybe not. Write 20 interesting things about yourself if you wouldn't mind and then request the same of five other dear friends you don't know everything about. Have fun!!
1. I have never lived more then four hours from my folks until now with the most recent move from Oregon to New York.
2. I grew up three miles outside of a tiny little farming community just east of the Cascade Mountain Range.
3. I raised a flock of chickens for a while. I didn't really like it then, but I would like to get back into it now.
4. I know how to drive a dump truck, operate a pneumatic jack hammer, and many other pieces of heavy equipment. I learned one summer while interning with a public works department primarily painting fire hydrants.
5. I'm a certified water aerobics instructor.
6. I helped coached swim team for years when I was younger and had my own team when I was 19 in Spokane, WA.
7. I was raised catholic...confirmed even. I stopped going to church when I started working in 8th grade. Currently, I'm well on the road to recovery after a brief stay at a private catholic university in Spokane, WA four years ago.
8. I sleep with a stuffed palatupus named Sterling every night...heresy gets jealous...Sterling serves as a kind of body pillow nestled between my breasts.
9. I learned how to make pine needle baskets from an elder on the Wellpinit Reservation while mentoring middle school kids. She gave me a dream catcher.
10. I love baking, but I don't particularly like eating...so...if you're ever around you will probably get lots of food. Heresy doesn't always like this fact.
11. I learned how to shoot a shotgun this summer in the Red Desert of Wyoming.
12. I simultaneously recieved a degree in biology (neuroscience) and a minor in art (ceramics) in order to maintain some degree of sanity during college.
13. The first time I had ever been to the East Coast before moving here was for the 2005 "Presidential" Inaguration. Heresy and I were covered in pepper spray and I spent a large portion of the time working as a medic.
14. I worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor for several years and in that time made several saves, usually three year old boys in my classes that wouldn't stay sitting on the wall (there's always at least one).
15. I really, really want a dog (a big one)!!!! Everyone should tell heresy this.
16. My first pet was a goldfish named Frank. He lived in a great big pickle jar and after his death he was buried in my parents back yard...no toilet bowls for old Frank.
17. I made 100 crystalline glazed vagina bowls (all unique), and spent a year giving them away to friends...I hear abra and thursday enjoy eating all kinds of tasty treats out of theirs.
18. I've been diabetic since I was thirteen...let's see...11 years, and I am currently doing 5 insulin injections a day. Both of my parents are diabetic...so really it wasn't a very big shock. I always have someone to compare notes with. My little brother gets a little worried every once in awhile, but so far so good.
19. I've had low blood sugar induced grand mal seizures four times...london, spokane, san fransisco, eugene...very scary, especially for those around me.
20. I really want to spend the rest of my life with heresy, but so far when I ask him to marry me he still won't. One day I'm sure.
I'm not really sure who to tag...I'm pretty new here still, but let's see...
