Long weekend, good weekend, rough weekend, fun weekend.
now combining all that I had a long good rough fun weekend... doesn't that just sound...
(insert amused laughter)
I started friday off with some light physics (no not studying optics though if so the pun would be irresistable!), light as in little instruction mostly rambling and a pushing of hw until tomorrow (well gee maybe if you taught the material you wouldn't be two weeks behind fucking schedule you witless FUCK!!!!) ahem....
so yeah that whole not sleeping thursday night to finish my physics... i'm still bitter about it.
I then proceeded to attempt to wake up
JennRose, for those not in the know, I'm her alarm clock. Apparently my sultry, seductive, incredibly masculine voice gets a rise out of her, or is it gets her to rise?
I digress.
After jenn finally woke up I got ready for work and played some WoW before I left. still level 31. sigh. no more rest bonus (well ok actually now I will). I'd had my bonus for a good 2 or 3 levels. It sure did help.
Work was at Williams-Sonoma (I've been doing Back Stock Room work at Pottery Barn Kids lately too, ie. Weds). It went by quickly, I got to make some onions and garlic. oh yeah, real culinary excellence there. Mostly just for smell, but boy were people telling me what I should put it on. a pity I had none of their suggestions, though if anyone's willing to experiment with me? hmmm?
Yeah, didn't think I'd get takers on that one.
Got home and hung out with jenn for a little while, but we were both so damned tired we just called it a night. Played with jenn's hair and rubbed her back until we both went unconscious. Good times.
Saturday was far more eventful. Our mission was two-fold.
(cue mission impossible theme music)
One: Go to National Museum of Art.
Damn, I was impressed. If I could express myself in the way these artists did with their brushstrokes in my writing, well I could die happy. Jenn seemed mostly blah'd by most of it. She's not into that whole 'art appreciation' thing. (amusing since she's the art-ist). We had to get some info for some of her art history classes. I, being the incredible dimwit that I am, readily volunteered to help her write one of the essays, read: do for her. See that dunce cap over there, yes please hand it over... thank you. (plops onto head)
Two: Find architectural constructs or designs that illustrate a letter of the alphabet (A-Z). They can be either capital or lower case. You think this would be simple. I challenge you, therefore, to do so in your day. Hunt for an A, a B, a C, etc. all the way through the alphabet. Maybe you live somewhere really interesting, maybe you cop out on a few. Well I figure "we're in DC, capital of the god-damn'd free world of beautiful lovely capitalism; we're finding A-Z..." Almost did, I think jenn only need like 6 letters left, but damn some of these should be like totally kick ass.
After mission one was completed and while undergoing mission two jenn and I got a little hungry. We stopped at this place called "Austin Grill" a tex-mex kinda locale. Growing up in Texas for a good many years, I felt obliged to go here. We had some really good nachos and some crabmeat quesadillas.
It was getting late so after the food and some more letters jenn and I went home.
Dinner and some rest made us up for a good night of fun.
Fun meaning== Fatal Frame.
yes, the beast that haunts my gaming l33tness nightmares.
i've nearly finished night 3, I've just got the final boss for that night left and jenn and I devised a decent strategy to take him out (fuck you Gamefaqs and all your ps2-centric guides to that game).
The story for that game is really good and though entirely improbable I sometimes find myself checking out sounds that I hear when I'm alone in the house. fuck, that game masters atmosphere. damn good...
we then went to sleep, once again with the playing of the hair and the back-rubbing that jenn loves so much. (oh these masculine studly hands of mine and the magical power they hold over girl-flesh)
Sunday was stock guy at PBK (Pottery Barn Kids) and I got to listen to some of the guys complain about stuff while I got stuck with all the hard work... (meaning I got to lift 50-110 lbs of crap) lucky me, the elevator that we had to get from the third floor stock room to the first floor loading dock to meet customers was broken or jammed whenever I had to do a run.
Oh does my back looooove me right now...
got offa work and get the hella home to hang out with jenn some before she had to leave.
It suxors (as the kids say) whenever she has to leave. jenn's so much fun to hang out with, having her around really brightens the day
but then I am slightly biased (insert world-acknowledging laughter).
So all in all a great weekend, like i said.
long good rough fun (fuck commas).
Take it easy all,
MogMagus
(oy I'm old... My back!)
ps. needless to say having a 100+lbs of furniture smacking you in the head... oi. I will never ever be unnapreciative of retail for as long as I live... not that I ever have been... but damn... I salute you consumerist america (/salute)
