I keep thinking that it's been so long since I've been to see a movie that I'm ready to go see one soon. Issue I'm having though is that there are almost none I really want to see right now. In a way I'd like to see the new Friday the 13th movie coming out next week, but at the same time, I also know that it's going to ruin the franchise. From all that I've seen in previews so far, it appears that bits and pieces of at least the first 3 films in the original series have been combined to come up with the remake. Jason's mother's haunting words can be heard in the previews, as can Jason wearing a burlap bag as a mask, and even the hockey mask. His mother was the killer in the original, he wears a burlap bag in the second one, and the hockey mask that he is now famous for didn't come in until the third film. If I had never seen the original series, I would want to see this one more than anything, but I'm afraid I would walk out after the film feeling bummed that a good series has been ruined for me.
Can anyone tell I haven't been out to do much in awhile? I keep feeling like I need to get out and do something fun, but movies are the only thing coming to mind right now. No good shows that I'm aware of coming to the area. Only thing that is starting up of interest that I know of is roller derby season, but I haven't been to a bout in forever. Anyone know of anything interesting to go out and do?
