The crazies keep calling, it just never ends.
I took a half day today(still using "left over" days from 09)so I could go up to school and spend some time in the library reading. Because my back was bothering me so much this weekend I just couldn't get focused on doing the reading I needed to do. I've decided that I need to spend more time on campus to get away from the distractions at home and focus more on school. I am feeling a bit better about this class and the professor, he's calmed down a bit since the last time I had him.
We were discussing vision and missing statements in class tonight and next week we're going to do a personal mission statement to plot where we want to be 20 years from now and how we're going to get there. I've been kind of thinking along those terms lately anyways since my contract is up in 2011 and I have to consider getting as many classes in between now and then and thinking more about planing for retirement.
Another thing that I've been running through my mind again is do I want to continue my education beyond getting my MBA. It's something I should really consider now so I can plan accordingly. The thought of having to write a dissertation terrifies me but the idea of achieving a PHD is really something I think I want to try for. I'm going to talk to a couple of the professors in the business department for some planning advise. Hell, I've been going to Caldwell for so long now they're like family
We also have a new college president, from what my professor says she's a real go getter and is shaking things up(in a good way). I told him I would like to see more graduate degree options, specifically in international business and economics. If I do go for a PHD I think it would be in international business, I like economics but I'm more interested in international business.
Film group starts back up this saturday and I'm looking forward to it. I'm really going to have to managing my time more effectively, but at least I'm only dealing with 1 class this semester so it'll be alright. I may have to cut back on OT if it continues though, it's really starting to wear on me.
