Girls are mean. Really, I just don't understand it.
I woke up to a lovely message on my Honesty Box on facebook about how I need to learn how to put on make up and that I have an Honesty Box so I can have my friends tell me what to do. Honestly, I don't really care. And I acknowledge it was a bad idea to have an honesty box. Soooo, I deleted it.
But really, this person has to be on my friends list and had to have the application added themselves because my box is only on the application list, not on my profile. I don't understand why someone would add that application just to be malicious.
In high school, it would have bothered me, but in college it doesn't. I know who my friends are and anyone who is friends with me knows that all of my friends are different people with different interests. As for the make up thing... Yes, as a girl I am self conscious, but I'd rather be intelligent than hot so I can deal with comments like that.
I just think it's sad that people still act so immature in college, and that girls feel the need to put each other down so much.
I've been waiting for the thunderstorms to start today but so far they haven't. I'm disappointed. The drizzle is irritating but I love thunderstorms, especially when going to sleep. For some reason, they calm me.
I read a lot of comics this weekend. I finished The Infamous Alison Bechdel as well as American-Born Chinese I'm reading Palestine (Joe Sacco) and Black Hole (Charles Burns).
I'm trying to accept a lot of things regarding when AnchorpersonOnTV and I were broken up. It's difficult for me to do so as someone with low self-esteem but I have to believe that if he's been with me again for another eight months that I must be of some value. Exes are just frustrating. Meaning his, not mine.
My dad's birthday is next Monday (same as Jackie Chan!). So I'm buying him the cookbook Veganomicon because my family has been eating vegetarian/vegan lately. And my mom bought him waders for when he goes fly fishing (they were like 200 dollars, jeez). I was also going to try to get him some sort of diabetic cake but I'm not having luck with that.

If girls didn't keep turning on one another they would easily rule the world.
