Suddenly, I feel like I just don't understand anything.
Normally I feel like I understand most everything pretty well. Everything that comes my way, that is. Then you meet someone that catches you off guard, you think you understand them more than anything you've understood before... and then you find out that you're wrong.
Or are you? Fuck. Is integrity important to people? It's important to me, I guess. I wonder if it's too important to me...
Inspired by Nala and Badm0j0, here's a bit of poetry I wrote in the middle of the night a couple weeks ago when I was fasting and couldn't sleep.

The Flagstone whispers to the Pillar, "The sky above, will it crush us?"
"Never," returns the Pillar.
The Flagstone whispers to the Pillar, "The buttress from atop your crown, will it fall and break us?"
"It can not," returns the Pillar.
"Thank you," prays the Flagstone.
The Pillar gives, and both become as dust.
"You see," whispers what was the pillar to the shattered flagstone, "I will never let you come to harm."
"Thank you," whispers what was the flagstone.
