mmm, tostitoes and salsa when i wake up.....
wow, so, i was totally selfish.... i just wanna recognize the awsomeness of my rats, dirty mo and savage, for getting me accepted as an sg.... it was all them!! looking back at those pics, they look so tiny... they're so much bigger now...
oh colombia and its regions, villages, mountains, people and food..... 12 days was def. not enough to see and intake it all.... again, supporting my arguement that in order to know and experience something, you must live it, and in this case, when it comes to travelling, you must live there to really grasp it all... but then again, i'll take 12 days instead of nothing anytime....
i went to visit lu's family and friends and to see his past life.... i finally saw kid pictures of him, and his many houses and neighbourhoods that he grew up in....(his family moveed around a lot because his father was a major and they must move around the country all the time)..... we spent a day in san gil, santender, about 6 hrs from bogota, where he was born..... then we went somewhere else, (not good with names).... something that i love of many of the regions and cities in bogota, and that i loved in ecuador too, was the mountains, and the cities that were surrounded by mountains.... what beautiful scenary and breathtaking views, especially when you drive up the mountains on their windy roads.... i loved it....
my new favorite food consist of 'lechona', some type of soup with patatoes and chicken that really fills you up, empanadas and papas criolles, which are like mini patatoes that you eat like a side dish like fries... finger-food-like...... the lechona.... (which i'm still not sure if that is what it's called.... is when they empty a pig, and stuff it with rice and chicken or pork or something and they cook it like that, and all the fat from the pig is what gives the rice all its flavour, and then they cut the big open and serve the rice and the skin... oh so yummy, sorry for all you veggies out there who had to read this.... many times, they keep the pigs head and everything while the cooking is done..... kinda creepy..... colombia is big on the sweets too it seems.... but since i'm not into sweets, i didn't indulge too much..... ohhhh, and i loved the corn on the cob that they burn on the street.....so yummy...
over there....they sell liquor at the corner store... and then they have tables and chairs where you can sit and drink it, at the corner store/convenience store.... how chill is that?! they have like mini bars, where you go in, it's tiny and you drink.... i know that sounds like a bar where we are, but these places are tiny, and some don't really have chairs and tables.... maybe a couple of cubes to sit on..... different feeling than a bar or restaurant..... the pharmacy is just a counter, and you ask for what you want, it's not a store where you walk in and have to shop around.....
everything is so cheap there.... a thing of liquor, like a mickey (sp?) is like 2.50 CAD, jewelry is cheap, bear is even cheaper.... lu's mom got me to get a manicure and pedicure for x-mas.... and they also washed, and blow dried my dreads... they also took each dread and brushed out the tips and straightened them, and then took each dread and cut out all the stray hairs and then gelled it back and styled it.... so the 'do', the manicure and pedicure cost me 12.00 CAD.... so of course i gave a good tip... fuck, it was cheap..... but oh, a little side note.... i loved being back getting my hair played with, i haven't had that since i got my dreads.... and i miss it, and now that i know that dreads can be primped and such, i might just go again and get them to wash and play with my hair... mmmm too bad it'll fuckin' expensive here in canadia....
the flowers over there are beautiful.... now, we here in north america get our roses shipped from colombia, so imagine what they look like fresh?! they were gorgeous, and cheap for long stemed roses..... they also have these other flowers typically from there, that have these green and red or something that stick out on the sides... i forget the name (did i mention that i'm terrible with names?! hah) anyways, those flowers are stunning....
we went to museums and did a lot of walking around.... we stayed in a club militar, so we were well protected.... we also went to a police station where they had a bunch of pablo escobar's stuff, like his motorcycle, the clothes he was wearing when they shot him dead... photos, etc.... crazy....
so, they're psycho drivers there, and they're saying is that if you can drive in colombia, then you can pretty much drive anywhere.... i think like 5 times a day, i'd be like "oh fuck" and clutch the car..... like they have good reflexes there, you need them to drive..... especially on the windy roads, and when they car jump, passing cars on single lanes with oncoming traffic, they go crazy with that shit! and i thought i used to be a crazy driver... pfffft.... there's no match.....
so after 17 hours of airports, flights and connections, trying to get back home, i found myself luggageless in montreal.... that was sunday, today is wednesday... .i still don't have my luggage.... and no message as to when they'll be delivering it (they found my luggage, but they got 400 to deliver and who knows when it'll be my turn...ugh)... so i'm here, redialing and waiting, and redialing and waiting...... too bad my family x-mas gathering was last night, and all my souvenirs and booze where in my suitcases, so no new experiences and things could be shared and given..... i'm totally bummed...
i still don't have any pictures... 'cause the boy took them with his digital camera, and well, he's in texas now with his sister and niece, so when he gets back next week, i'll be sure to put some pictures up for ya'll!!
alright, time for a shower.... thank you lovelies.... i'm sure i have more to say, i'll write soon again...
xx

I'm actually planning a trip to Montreal in the next month or so, I've heard that it's a beautiful city.
Thank you so much for the comment on my set, it's insane to me that girls like you, Jem, Lucy and others can comment on my set and say I'm beautiful.
THANK YOU!!
