Another day off of work. I sent in a couple of applications for teller positions around here. It seems like the only industries that are hiring around here and willing to offer benefits are banking and retail. Neither of which I'm crazy about but I don't quite despise them either so it looks like I'll give it a go.

Job hunting kind of sucks. I...

Don't give up yet, Don't depend too much on Job Service and don't settle for something you don't think you'll enjoy. If you know any business oweners go see them, if they don't have work they might know someone who does have work. Try not to get discouraged because Casper likes to think of it's self as on the move but in reality it's pertty much locked down. But most of all, good Luck in the job search. wink

You live in an absolutely gorgeous state, at least what I have seen of it! And I agree on the job hunting suckage...fortunately, haven't had to do it in a while...<<crossing fingers>> ARRR!!! biggrin ARRR!!!

So I get the next four days off work. Things are slow at the theater now that school has started back up. Of course that sucks because my pay check is going to shrink (not that it was big to begin with...). But at least now I have plenty of time to start looking for another job.

Just another day at work...

My parents finally went home today so I can actually get back to my own schedule instead of having to play chaperone. Hooray for that.

I think later tonight I'll go to the strip club with my boyfriend. Haven't been in a while and he just got paid... could be fun. On the other hand, I kind of want to...

Okay, so slowly I'm actually beginning to like my job. I think I just needed some time to adjust. I spent three years working at and managing a different theater in Wyoming (owned by the same company I work for now) where everything was super relaxed. But since Casper is company headquarters everything here is way strict, which is actually better because it is more...

Happy fucking Friday!

Just got off work. I had high hopes of getting drunk this evening. However, my parents decided to come visit for the week so I think I'll have to end up entertaining them instead. Not that I'm not happy to see my parents... I've just had a long week and wanted to kick back. I'm sure I'll make up for it later...

How's the new job?

Sorry about the unexpected visit--there is nothing like kicking back and consuming mass quantities of alcohol after a long week . . . Hope you are having a good time with them though.

Sounds like you had a good time in Monterey! Love it down there. I was just in Santa Barbara this week and I cannot believe how rediculously expensive it has gotten to live there--the average home price is over $1M (and that doesn't buy much--YIKES!) and that affects rent and everything on the economic food chain--not sure how mere mortals can live there anymore.

Well anyway, it is still beautiful and I stay with friends when I go so I get to enjoy all the benefits of SB, which is way cool.

Hope you are enjoying your summer; what is the weather like in Casper?

Holy shit... I never thought I'd miss internet so bad. So finally I'm back from vacation and done (mostly) with moving. Qwest just hooked up the DSL today... I'm so freaking happy.

Anyway... vacation with the family wasn't as bad as I had expected it to be. I really loved Monterey... it's such a beautiful area. But I was disappointed that I didn't get to...

Well congrats on getting settled in Casper, I know there isn't a heck of a lot to do there. When I do go there, I end up spending all my time out at my cousins, hardly see any of casper.

So, I'm off to California in the morning to go to my sister's wedding. I get to spend the next two weeks in a minivan with my parents and my brother. Needless to say, I'm not looking forward to the trip too much. Going to Cali should be fun. Seeing my sister should be fun. But spending extensive periods of time with my parents in...

Have a good trip!

LOL--yes as FuzzyDice says--it should not be 2 hard to hook up on an army base.

Have fun . . .

Yay! The hockey lockout has ended. I was really hoping I wouldn't have to go another season without my hockey fix. I miss watching all those hot hockey guys! love Hockey is such a turn-on for me. Something about all that aggressiveness and power gets me so hot.

So, I've been away from the computer for a bit. Lack of internet access kind of sucks. I went to Seattle for a while to apartment hunt and job hunt. I fell in love with the city. So beautiful. I love the Pacific Northwest.

But I came to the conclusion that I lacked the money to move to a major city. frown I think I'm just...

Sorry to hear u r not moving to Seattle frown .

Glad u like it here though--it's a way cool city.

Let me know if u come back for a visit--would be happy to help introduce u around.

The theatre gig sounds cool--and very cool that u have always dreamt about owning a theatre--perhaps u will . . .

Take care . . .

I'm off to Seattle in the morning to find an apartment.
Perhaps I should be more prepared to move to a new city instead of randomly deciding to move somewhere without a job or a place to live. But where's the fun in that?

How do you like Seattle so far? Did you find a place? What part of the city are you living in?
jwatts:
I've moved like that alot. Boston, Portland, Hawaii, here... it's easier than most people think, and tons more exciting.
