I need a job. I don't think there is anything in this world more frustrating than job hunting. I feel like I have to find some high class job to justify the fact that I need to pay off $20,000 worth of student loans. But in reality all the jobs that I want to do don't even require me to use the degree that I...

I'm attaching some pics of my weekend holiday in Newport. I love love love being so close to the beach. I enjoy living by the mountains but it is so comforting to know that the Pacific is only a few hours away. I'm just so amazed by this state. Even though my job hunt is lasting much longer than I wanted it to I am...

Welcome back!
Only six days until my New York City adventure... small town girl braving the big city for a week as a lonely tourist. So excited but totally convinced that I'm going to get myself lost. It's all part of the fun I suppose.
surlymike:
Enjoy your time in NYC!

How was it?
oooh... I am so excited for Halloween. Two big parties to go to on Saturday - one at a friend's house (with a poker game) and another at the bowling alley. I'm usually not that excited for the holiday but this year seems different. I'm going as a druid princess... just bought the last piece of my costume today (totally sexy brown leather knee high...

Six months gone and no entries. I am such a slacker. Either that or my life is just that dull. And usually I feel like I'm writing for no one because I guess I tend to be a bit anti-social. Not that that's how I mean to be... it just kinda happens. One of my flaws I suppose.
I always hate when a kick ass weekend has to end. Oregon rules... I can't wait until I can move out there. I know my next life stage has be spent living somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. Anyway... the wedding was gorgeous and I ended up meeting a ton of amazing people and walked away being able to call some of them friends. Plus the...

How are things going at Harvard on the Hill ? LOL
Big road trip to Oregon starts tomorrow afternoon. My boyf and I are going out there for a friend's wedding. There and back in four and a half days... it's only 15-ish hours each way. Yeah... it'll be exhausting but it's something different and that is fun. Nice to get a break from work and life and this sucky town and my horrible neighbors for...

I am so excited this weekend is here... I turn the big 23 today. I got a hot tub suite and I'm meeting up with some friends for some craziness. I'm getting new ink done tomorrow in Fort Collins, CO. Finally... I've been waiting for the opportunity to work on my tattoo for what seems like forever. And I get to go pick up my...

happy birthday
So I've long considered myself bisexual even though I had never been with another woman before. Yeah... I lost that V-card this weekend to this hot little friend of mine in Cheyenne. Yummy... that's all I have to say. I'm looking forward to my birthday weekend when we are planning on meeting up again.

Congrats on the moving thing. I quit a sales job making more htan I ever had to go back to school full time. Now I work 2 part time jobs not to drown. Job searching just sucks. At first it's exciting, but after your dream job doesn't land on your doorstep, it...sucks. I'm really freaking out now that I have over 6K in loans and read your comments because I keep telling myself that it's all worth it. (laugh) deep down I know it is, as long as I can enjoy this ride.
Good luck with the new life, house, wedding and all.
Stress can be a factor too, and job satisfaction. The good part of any sales job are the skills that become second nature and never go away. If you're in marketing you know what I mean. In an odd way, we all need to sell ourselves at somepoint. (That sounds really bad doesn't it?, eh, that's what an interview is for pete's sake) I'm on my 15th or is it 16th job now since I started working at 14. You think I would know exactly what I want to be when I grow up, I think I may be eliminating my choices one by one
I remember going to breakfast with my mom and waiting for callbacks from various interviews and telling her I wasn't afraid of NOT getting the job, I was going to be afraid when I got it because I didn't have a clue and knew I was going to have to swim and fake it until I made it.
Always do what you are afraid to do.

US essayist & poet (1803 - 1882)
