Yesterday was three weeks long, and three weeks awesome.
I started my ride alone, but by the end we had a group of about 15, always good to meet friends on the road. Let me tell you this, triathalete women are quite the zexy.
Got home, showered up and headed to Movement in Detroit to check it out for a bit; this city does some things right. Attendance is estimated at over a million drug-infested people.
I left the sweaty kandie-kids rather promptly (I'm just an observer) and drove up Wyoming st, which I do believe is the beauty supply store capital of the world, to 7 Mile and the legendary Tom's Tavern.
I was there, one street better than Eminem, to meet my dad who had been trying to get me into Tom's Tavern for years now - "you have to go, before it falls down."
I sat six inches higher than my dad, who sat at the bar next to me; you see, the floor has long ago caved in on one side of the room, leaving a fairly agressive slope from one end of the bar to the other.
This place is amazing.
By the end of the night, everyone in the place was sharing dinner at the same table - strangers or family.
Meet me at Tom's!

*added: If you feel like laughing your ass off, read the second page of comments in my last entry - If you don't know which comments I'm talking about, just look for the hilarious ones.
*added part II: invincible terror - So I've been slacking on my training lately; I'm asking for you, my good friends, to help me stay motivated. Every day at the bottom of my journal I'll post that day's mileage, time, and week total. If you see that week totally dropping below 250, give me shit hard.
