Yesterday was made special by the arrival of my new road racing shoes. The shoes were made special because they're Itlaian, and free.

Oddly enough, the couples in my family are very stable in that regard. My parents are still together and they are very happy. My grandparents were the same way.
But one day I was telling my mother that I wanted to break things off with my fiancee and not get married at all and she revealed to me that if she had do to it all over again she would not get married. She is very happy with my dad now because after all these years with him they are pretty independent and they each do their own thing. But she said that she would like to see me travel and date many many guys and just pretty much be on my own. Odd yet true.
