ok. i lied but i ain't gonna miss out on feelin good on 2 counts 2day- George Galloway the independent candidate 4 my area(bow/bethnal green) won a seat in parliament...there are 12 other independents coming into office across the UK. Thats better than none. Not a bad start. My disappointment in Tony Blairs misleadership of the Labour party ere in sunny old england is unquantifyable.
today's only just begun - and i feel...
not bad.
not bad at all.
posted this *earlier* to the news section(always fancied a job at reuters-bein used 2 bein in the line of fire so2speak!):
Despite appalling warmongering and *Bush* licking on behalf of the UK's current Prime Minister, Tony Blair Britain's once great(mho) Labour Party have swept to a third successive victory in the UK in yesterday's General Election. Some might say people voted Labour back in as the marginally lesser of 3 evils - the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats offering no real alternative policy.
On a brighter note the Independent Candidate for the East London constituency of Bow/Bethnal Green, George Galloway(Respect Party, pictured) stormed to victory beating the pro war, black Labour candidate, Oona King.
12 other *independents* also won seats across the UK. A small number i know, sisters and brothers, but not a bad start in my opinion.
From these humble beginnings....
george galloway - *street fighter*(ha!)...man of the moment - thats more like it!
re.spec to the respect party...pity i can't be at the rhythm tonight
