Well I got my shit together and went to the doctor yesterday and I have a referral for a Pelvic Ultrasound Scan next Wednesday. So Meh. Scary.
<edit>
The good thing about going to the doctor was getting a prescription for condoms. Honestly, how can it cost $14.95 to get a 12 pack at the supermarket when it's $3.00 to get 144 on a prescription? That.Is.Fucked.Up.

In other news, today I registered to volunteer with Wellington Rape Crisis centre, which means I do a course midyear and then am part of the collective, which is great! I offered to do a website for them and also do things like help with the annual appeal and fliers and the reclaim the streets march. All good.
Also B and I are talking about joining the Green Party. They're looking for volunteer web type people as well so I might volunteer for that, and also I sent an email to SAFE (NZ animal rights organisation) and told them I would like to volunteer for them as well.
Oh and on top of all that, I am starting a new "real" job soon, buying and trying to find recycled vinyl and old seatbelts to make bags and wallets and things and hopefully also making vegan hats!
I'm going to try to find time to set up a website to sell all this stuff to NZ vegans.
Yeah that's right, I don't like "spare time".
It's winter where I live. Right now it's pissing down and I have to go to Pilates in half an hour and I'm seriously thinking maybe I should stay home and eat leftover dinner (tofu & vege & couscous scramble thing with ginger and chili and lime juice and corriander - mm!) instead and start making bag and coin purse patterns.
I went out for dinner last night with some friends who are off to South Korea to teach English and they told me I was a vegan warrier! Woot!
What else... oh I sent out the obligatory "I'm sick and I don't know what's wrong with me" email to my family and today I got home and my sister had come round while I was at work and pushed a whole lot of fruit and a DVD through the catdoor for me. Yay for family. That made me uber happy.
Does anyone else get ingrown hairs around their hairline on their head? It seems everyone but me gets them on their legs, I only ever get them on my temples.

That will be the one thing I'm going to miss when I'm studying in Welli... But my partner works for an big airline so flights are mostly free, you'll be hating me by now!!
Is it easy to find a decent flat in central Welli? Ive never lived there and have no idea what the cost of living is.
