Hello! It's Sunday night and birthday-eve and I'm really tired. Yawn!
I had a bbq here yesterday, for early birthday times and that was gleeful. We made it vegan and said that people just needed to bring their own bad selves, since most people we know are not vegan and it would be difficult so we provided all the food and we made satay skewer kebab things and potato fritters and thai marinated flat shrooms and capsicum and zucchini and and chick pea patties and thai skewer kebabs and vegan hot dogs and vegan sausages and it was good good good.
I got given yummy vegan bath bombs and vodka and the Kama Sutra and a very cute card with kitty cats on it and the boy and his parents gave me an opal to make some clever silver jewellery out of. Pretty good considering it's my birthday tomorrow. Also my Ps gave me a toolkit thing for jewellery making that you can do engraving and stuff with over Easter.
My mother is coming to stay tomorrow for birthday goodness. Actually I think that's coincidental since I'm pretty sure she's coming to Wellington for some sort of Rhodes fellowship reunion or something, but we're going out for dinner anyway.
I am not overly gleeful about it being Monday soon and having to go back to work but I'm working on improving that particular aspect of my life.
Oh, I just bought earplugs from here after seeing the link in twwly's journal, to further my quest for the perfect ear jewellery. Oooo and also I have this plan for making plugs in my jewellery class, making the ouside flared bit out of silver and then putting something clever on the inside and then covering it all in resin which sets clear and preserves the stuff inside, but I've only got one jewellery class left and I need to finish my upper arm band and start my ring. I've got another class in June though, so It'll have to wait til then.
Also I launched a new website thing, she.geek.nz which is basically just a photo archive thingamie that I am adding to gradually.
Ok, that's enough. ♥

Ugh! I'm too lazy to get dressed and walk across town. And I'm hating myself already for being so lame! Can't concerts just happen in my living room so I can stay in my towel??
