Today has been quite odd.
It's Friday, so I'm working from home. Work said they would pay for eye tests for support staff so I had an appointment today and it turns out I have astigmatism. So I apparently need glasses. Bleh. Money.
On my way down to the appointment I saw a girl walking up the street and she was crying! And I really wanted to stop and ask her what was wrong and maybe talk to her about it if she wanted to, but I was late, so I didn't.
Then I had lunch with my sister and got all the goss about the fandambly. She's going vegetarian and wants to go vegan, so I think I might buy her 'How it all Vegan' which I have and is fabulous.
Oh, also I have a new profile picture. I got my spirals in the mail on the weekend and I'm very excited about them. Whee! Spirals.
This weekend is both the Cuba Street Carnival and also the beginning of the Arts Festival so I guess Wellington is going to be humming for a bit. My mother is coming to stay which means lots of plays and ballets. I'm glad we booked so long ago and I paid it all off because otherwise I would be extremely broke.
I think I'm going to around 10 things for the festival, and then more for the Fringe Festival as well. So I'm going to be very busy! Also next week I have to go away for work to Wairakei which is somewhere near Taupo. Work pays for meals so I can have thai every night! This makes me gleeful but the lack of decent coffee is going to make me sad once again.
Also SG Merchandise arrived today. I got the long sleeved black top but it is huge. I will attempt to take it in and up but if not it might have to be a nightie, which is arse because I have pyjamas that I made myself and love. Bright pink panties rule though

Speaking of ass, last year I sat down on a picnic table at work to have lunch and got a splinter in my ass. I went to my doctor and she tried to cut it out under Local Anaesthetic but she couldn't find it. Anyway, I'm positive it's still in there, as there is a big lump. But it must be quite deep if it is still in there since she couldn't find it the first time.. What to do? It's discoloured as well which I guess could be scarring but it's ugly and I don't like it. Ugh. How dare work disfigure my ass?
Ok, enough banal frivolity for one day, I must code now.
