Woah, weather
Well, it's Monday morning and I'm stuck at home, because all the roads are closed! Everything has gone mental.
Unfortunately since I work at home two days a week anyway and work pays for my innernet, this means I have to actually work today, rather than staying in bed with a book like the rest of Wellington.
Damnit!
My weekend actually turned out ok afterall. I went and had a picnic on Saturday, B + I sorted it out, and highlight = Bowie!
Unfortunately, we got drenched on our way there, like, from hips down trousers were so drenched I could wring water out of them, and then the concert was outside, with allocated seats, so I couldn't mosh to get warm even! Grr! Also, did I mention that I was WET and COLD?
The gig was incredible though.. I was totally amazed by the energy of Bowie, even though it was pissing down he was out the front of the stage, dancing and having a good time.. he had a break to dry his hair with a towel and started doing 'air towel'. At one point he invited the band to "Come on in, the water's fine".
Under Pressure was my highlight of the night. He played Cactus too, but I have to say I like the Pixies version better.
The funniest bit was that Let's Dance was the theme song of the TV ad campaign, and he didn't play it!
So now back to mundane weekday.
