ROAD TRIP!

OK! Massive road trip was undertaken. Firstly, we drove to Auckland for the Big Day out.
Here is a photo of larina and I rolling down a hill and I have just hit my fufu bone on a stone or something and am in agony:



I didn't take any photos of the Big Day Out itself, but instead of my cellphone telling me I was in Auckland, it had the location set to whichever band was playing on the main stage and we took photos of that but I don't have them yet. So later.

Then we set off to Hawke's Bay to go play at the beach with some friends. Here is a photo of the pretty view:



And then when we arrived at the beach we didn't do much except drink beer and sit in the sun and play trivial pursuit and make sandcastles. Our sandcastle was HUGE! We had a conceptual designer, technical prowess (me), brute strength, grunt, and official documentarian. Here is our sandcastle:



It has four turrets, a moat (with monsters), a guardtower, a haunted forest, and some 'giant balls'. It's an evil sandcastle. Here is a photo of me putting on the guard tower:



Enough about sandcastles.

Then I got home and pretty much had to get straight on a plane to Dunedin for work. Wellington airport still has a big gollum on it.



In Dunedin I hung out with dangerobby and drank lots. I don't have photos of that.

Then I came home and had to go on ANOTHER road trip. The boy was playing in Wanganui at Cooks Gardens. On the way up we took a photo of Kapiti Island



Then we went to one of those beside the road veggie places and there were some VERY odd murals:






And then we got there and they played and I took photos which are here and then I drove home in the middle of the night and was very tired.
